The Anxious Traveller

Hello Angels,

I’ve come to realise that life really is like a rollercoaster. It has its ups and it has its downs. One of my downs is that I suffer with anxiety.

It has stopped me from doing sooooo much in my life BUT I’m here to tell you that I will conquer it and you can too!

As much as it terrifies me, I’m taking the plunge and going travelling with a close friend next year. Just me and her.

I’ve always wanted to travel but my mind has told me I’m not confident or independent enough to do it when I know deep down that I can.

When I embark on my travels I want to create a series of blogposts to talk about my experience as a traveller with anxiety. I want to create a community for introverted, anxious people like myself. I want to show you strategies and techniques I’ll learn to help you. I want to be able to show you that we can do anything we want to.

I want to overcome my fears and insecurities and prove to myself that I am strong enough to do it.

Independently travelling in foreign countries with no parents is both my dream and my fear. I’ll be facing them both at the same time and you get to come along for the ride.

If I can do it, then you can too.

So stay tuned for the distant future will bring to you my travel series for the anxious wanderer.

Tell me what you think!

Stay wild, moon child.

Lots of love,

  1. I think it’s a marvelous idea!! DO IT 🙂 So many people struggle with anxiety on a daily basis but very few talk about it openly. I think that writing about your experience with anxiety while traveling would not only be very interesting, but could also help a ton of people! Looking forward to reading this! -xox-
